Her first appearance in professional competition at the age of 18 in the Invicta Fighting Championships in which she was able to win two fights via submission. It caught the attention of Dana White who signed her to be a part of the UFC Strawweight at the age of twenty-two years of age. Rose has had highs and lows in her career, yet she always emerges victorious. Rose took on Carla Esparza at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale in April 2015. The winner was given the Women's Strawweight Title as well as the title of the title of Fighter of the Night. This was the first time a woman wrestled in a major event for a championship. Namajunas won several fights following this fight and received the title of Performance Of The Night by UFC after her wins over Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
